We contend that our vision seeks to enable all to become the best they can be, to enable all to treat others lovingly and to equip all to witness purposively in life, locally and globally. As such we are confident that our Academy motto of “Learn for Life” is best served and realized when we strive to ensure that all in our community can share in life and all its fullness (John 10:10). We contend that
the experience of all within the Academy is a moral activity one in which the Academy engages all in the search for the Truth which is Christ Jesus (John 14:6-7)
Our Academy is life affirming and faith fulfilling where all are challenged to journey with Christ in order to flourish and find peace and become fulfilled. We are confident our (EDWARDS RESPECT) vision supports this ambition as all:
Engage in the World in order to enable it (Matthew 25) Dedicate our work to the glory of God’s Kingdom (I Corinthians 10:31) Witness to the Gospel in all that we say, do and plan (St Francis of Assisi) Achieve happiness for all; safe that we are laborers in the vineyard of the Lord (Matthew 20 :1-16) Realize the God-given potential of all as heirs of God (Romans 8:17) Donate our efforts lovingly to help all feel fulfilled (St Augustine Confessions) Secure a heavenly reward by challenging all to aspire to perform saintly acts (Colossians 3:12-17) | Recognising that all in our Academy are valued and loved because they are made “Imago Dei” (Genesis 1:27) Encourage – everyone’s potential, individual skills and talents (1 Peter 4:10) Strive to be the best we can be (Philippians 4:13) Prepare for the challenges of life (Luke 1:37) Empathise – promoting the values of respect, kindness, compassion, fairness, forgiveness, love, honesty and trust (Ephesians 4:2) Christian – a community where we learn from the teachings of Jesus so that we can contribute to the family of St Edward’s and beyond (John 3:16) Teamwork – an environment where we work together so we can all achieve our potential and transform |
In our Academy we dedicate our efforts to create and promote an authentic apostolate. Our RESPECT vision provides the basis for all to work towards building God’s kingdom and ensuring that all are respected and valued for all they are and for all they do, as “…heirs of God, co-heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:17).
